Anna Luce, Violin

Violinist Anna Luce is currently pursuing a Master's in Music at the University of Texas at Austin under the tutelage of Sandy Yamamoto, violinist of the Miro String Quartet. During her undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware, Mrs. Luce was a student of internationally acclaimed soloist, Xiang Gao, with whom she studied in both the U.S. and China. She performed as concertmaster in the Delaware Chamber Orchestra, as concertmaster in the University of Delaware Symphony for four years, and as a member of the first University of Delaware Graduate String Quartet. Mrs. Luce has appeared as soloist with the Diamond State Orchestra and with the University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra as the 2007 concerto competition winner. Prior to her undergraduate degree, Mrs. Luce was awarded the Sylver Recital Award at the Peabody Institute performing on such stages as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. Anna has had the privilege of traveling and performing internationally in Canada, China, Brazil and Hungary. Mrs. Luce lives with her husband Gregory in Austin, TX and enjoys cooking more than practicing!
