Chiara Fasani, Violin

Chiara Fasani, violinist and chamber musician from Ticino, has performed throughout the United States, Hungary, Germany, France, and her own native Switzerland. Ms. Fasani pursued violin performance at the Musikhochschule in Basel where she studied with Alexander van Wijnkoop and Adelina Oprean and also baroque violin studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with David Plantier. Her musicianship gained critical momentum through collaboration with Helmut Lachenmann, Péter Eötvös, Walter Levin and Rainer Schmidt, Sebastian Hamann. Ms. Fasani regularly performs as a soloist and in various ensembles and orchestras and at present she is concertmaster University of Basel orchestra. An accomplished dancer, Ms Fasani’s creative interests transcend artistic mediums and she is particularly interested in developing cross-discipline programs and concert offerings among the performing arts.
